Happy Thanksgiving from the C.A. Lawton Co.
This Thanksgiving and holiday season, we reflect on all the people and things we are thankful for. At The C.A. Lawton Co., we are always thankful for our hard-working and caring employees that make Lawton the family it is today. As we find ourselves becoming busier, we ask that you take a moment to step back, slow down, and show gratitude for all of the goodness in our lives. Especially in these unpredictable times, it is important to realize the small things in life that fulfill us. This Thanksgiving season, we ask that you enjoy making memories, spending time with your loved ones, and eating great food.
Speaking of delicious food, a few Lawton employees kindly shared their favorite recipes that are family favorites at Thanksgiving.
CHOCOLATE LASAGNA
1 package regular Oreo cookies (not double stuffed)
6 tbsp butter, melted
1-8 ounce package cream cheese (soft) ¼ c sugar
2 tbsp cold milk
1-12 ounce tub cool whip, divided
2-3.9 ounce package chocolate instant pudding
3 ¼ cups cold milk
1 ½ cups mini chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
Crush 36 cookies until finely crumbled.
Transfer Oreo crumbs to large bowl.
Stir 6 tbsp melted butter and use fork to mix. When mixed well, out in 9×13 inch baking dish. Put in fridge.
Mix the cream cheese with mixer until fluffy. Add 2 tbsp milk and sugar, mix well. Stir in ½ cups cool whip. Spread the mixture over crust.
In bowl, combine chocolate instant pudding with 3 ¼ cups milk.
Whisk for several minutes until thickened. Spread the mixture over previous cream cheese layer.
Allow to rest 5 minutes so pudding can firm up more.
Spread remaining cool whip over top. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips over top. Place in freezer for 1 hour, or refrigerate for 4 hours before serving.
