Getting better at ductile
“Part of our customer journey is that we’ll serve you better than anybody else in ductile,” said President Barry Adamski. “So if we’re even more competitive on ductile or maybe even industry-leading because this is what we do, that is a beautiful long-term strategy. We’ll ensure we stay in business and have a solid customer base that appreciates what we do.”
Ductile and Lawton’s CI journey
The C.A. Lawton Co. and all the foundries in the Lawton Standard family are committed to continuous improvement. We’re confident that we will see success as we apply our CI strategies to improving our ductile processes.
We use a transformation calendar to manage our commitment to continuous improvement and strategy deployment. Through current and future state value stream mapping we determine what initiatives are required to “transform” us. Lawton companies use Kaizens, Just do its (JDIs), and Employee Built Ideas (EBIs) on their CI journey.
