The magic of Christmas 2019

‘Tis the season of holiday cheer and for several, long Christmas lists. While children make snow angels, go ice skating and watch Santa movies, many adults find themselves stressing over Christmas expectations. These expectations are everything from elaborate Christmas decorations to the number of gifts.

Whether we look at Christmas as a religious or cultural holiday, we need to focus on the magic of Christmas. For many kids, it does include gifts, but there is so much more to Christmas than that. As an adult, we don’t remember every single Christmas gift we were given over the years. Instead, we remember special things that we did as a family that bring back heartwarming memories and loud laughs.

Christmas is a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends who we may not be able to visit with during the year. Christmas gives us the opportunity to put our cell phones down and re-connect with our teenagers, friends, neighbors, spouses and so many others. Most importantly – Christmas gives us the time to create those magical memories and traditions that we will remember for years to come.
